Anesthesia

Sometimes when asked about what we want to change for better on ourselves, we do not know what to answer. Considering that, undeniably, none of us is perfect, we realize the great need for self-knowledge.

When we don’t know ourselves, specially our weaknesses, bettering ourselves seems an undoable task: how, where, when?

A mistake bigger than not searching for self-knowledge is knowing your own weaknesses and ignoring them. To think that it is normal to have flaws, that it’s human and stay the same.

Undoubtedly we’re all full of imperfection. This fact must be the propeller of our desire for change, and not the excuse to justify our behavior.

When we close our eyes to what’s worst in us, we live as if we were under anesthesia, feeling nothing about the consequences of our actions, ignoring the alerts that are given to us in many ways, and we go on numb, heading for the waste of our present existence.

To avoid wasting such an opportunity that this life is for our evolution, let’s search for self-knowledge. After we identify the areas that deserve bigger attention, let’s make an effort to be better on them. With prayer and effort, and effort and prayer, any moral flaw we might have can be corrected.

The first step of self-knowledge and personal evolution is waking up. Let’s refuse the anesthesia and face reality, for our own good.

“There’s no flight more divine than the one of the soul. Let’s be the discoverers of ourselves”.

Alberto Santos Dumont (spirit), Chico Xavier (medium)

                        See you soon,
